Vinny Vinesauce just played this on his Sunday stream and it looks awesom! Any chance of an android port so I can play on a handheld?

Thanks for checking it out :) It's only on Windows right now because I don't have any other devices so any build would be untested. Though there is a port for linux handhelds if that helps - https://portmaster.games/detail.html?name=bnbmax

Hold on 👁️👄👁️ this can't be for free. Nothing that good comes without a price. Oh, it is for free? Damn, there ARE heroes in this awful world that i live in <3

the price is a piece of your sanity

finally something i can pay

You have a deal

If BUMPERS & BROADSWORDS has a million fans, then I am one of them. If BUMPERS & BROADSWORDS has ten fans, then I am one of them. If BUMPERS & BROADSWORDS has only one fan then that is me. If BUMPERS & BROADSWORDSt has no fans, then that means I am no longer on earth. If the world is against BUMPERS & BROADSWORDS, then I am against the world.

you stole my comment ( ・ั﹏・ั) give it back

sorry i didnt knew you posted the same thing

But truth be said

This game is amazing and i agree 100% with you

may the Heart of the BUMPERS bless you, my child

Made a video

I like that you appreciated the juxtaposition of the adult noir detective in a tournament for children :D

Also good taste in going for the Machine types (even if it was kinda accidental)

Just finished the game - it was fantastic, thanks so much for your hard work!

Thanks for playing :)

Which Bumpers did you prefer to use?

(+1)

I used the flame magician and barbarian for most of the run and switched out the others based on field bonus

"My grandpa's pack has no bad bumpers BumpCorp"

i need more of this game

(also maybe add a way for the game to remember past progress? When the game is closed all data is whipped and I have to start over.)

Data can be saved in any Rest Room or before any Eliminator battle :)

I did do that but for some reason it didnt keep it after i closed the game. It did when I went back to main menu but not after a resart. Could be my end as I am using linux

Also I would be willing to help out with this project how ever I can. I know its a weird request but I like to try to help out with project I want to see grow :).

The problem is that all I cant bring to the table is pixel art. Still not even the best at that :(. Still thought it would be worth it to offer though.
(If you want me to delete this comment I can :) )

Edit: Also i guess i make discord server templates idk if that is relevant though

Ah, maybe. It relies on an ini file that gets created in local appdata directory on Windows. Sorry about that :/

Incredibly fun! very simple concept that shows its strengths.
It's pretty good, though it could've used a bit more explanation and better pacing with save sections.

I'll also note that despite it's pretty much the only thing allowing me to continue; the lobotomized AI is a bit silly and it'd have been added next to just decks as a difficulty factor.

But overall, it was incredibly enjoyable and the style (outside of the characters) was pretty charming! Great work!

which Bumpers did you end up using the most?

(+1)

The game was pretty good at getting me to change my deck to adapt, so I never ended up using any one for a long enough time or without wanting to replace it.

Ya making the "ai" more complex would be nice. Now I have no idea how hard that is so take my comment with a grain of salt.

Also maybe make the oppenent able to 'Bump Up'? kinda unfair that the player can power up way past the other characters bumpers

(Also adding online multiplayer would make this game last forever but again I have no idea how to do that okaybye)

Opponents beyond the Basement Guard can and will BUMP UP ;) How far did you get in the story?

(+1)

Not far (i think) Got stuck on the part where the 'high attack' and 'attack boost' guys are. When i came back today my progress was whipped :(

Ah, so you got to the Guards in the Warrior biome. That's about the point where semi strong Bumpers get introduced (e.g. SWORD SAINT). If you get to the end of that biome and beyond you'll see enemies making better choices and using BUMP UP. Hope you can get the data saving working somehow :)
